Arthur Liew

Arthur Liew holds a Master’s degree in Digital Film & Television from Limkokwing University of Creative Technology. Coming from an IT background, he left the industry to pursue his passion for filmmaking. Since then, he has directed and produced a range of short films, documentaries, music videos and commercials.

He is one of the founder of Blackdot, a Kuala Lumpur–based production company specializing in commercial and creative projects, including music videos for local artists. Beyond commissioned work, he actively develops self-funded short films and independent projects under Blackdot. His short film After Tomorrow was selected as a finalist in the BMW Shorties in Malaysia.

Working behind the scenes in local productions, he is a member of Film Directors’ Association of Malaysia and the Professional Film Workers Association of Malaysia.

Motivated by emerging talents and a desire to grow with fresh perspectives, Arthur believes in continuous learning and collaboration. He currently lectures in Video Production at Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology, where he finds renewed inspiration through the energy of the new generation.
